Job Description – Head of Accounting (CA)
Department: Finance & Accounts
Location: Bangalore (Onsite)
Position Overview:
The Head – Accounting will lead the company’s accounting and compliance functions, ensuring accurate reporting, financial transparency, and audit readiness. This is a senior leadership role that requires not only technical expertise in accounting standards and statutory compliance but also the ability to strategically guide the finance function, influence decisionmaking, and represent the company with external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership
• Provide direction and leadership to the accounting team, aligning financial operations with organizational goals.
• Act as a key advisor to senior management on accounting, compliance, and financial governance matters.
• Drive continuous improvement and digital transformation in accounting processes.
2. Accounting Operations & Controls
• Lead daytoday accounting operations and ensure accuracy of financial records.
• Establish, monitor, and strengthen internal controls across all accounting processes.
• Ensure timely closure of books and reporting cycles.
3. Compliance & Governance
• Oversee statutory compliance, audits, and tax filings (Direct & Indirect).
• Ensure adherence to Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS), Companies Act, and other regulatory requirements.
• Maintain auditready documentation at all times.
4. Financial Insights & Reporting
• Provide financial insights and analysis to management for strategic decisionmaking.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Ensure transparent and timely reporting to the Board and senior leadership.
5. Stakeholder Management
• Liaise with auditors, regulators, banks, and external stakeholders.
• Represent financial and compliance discussions with external partners.
6. Team Development
• Mentor, guide, and develop the accounting team.
• Build a culture of accountability, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
• Chartered Accountant (CA).
• 10+ years of corporate accounting experience, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards, Companies Act, and taxation.
• Proven track record of leading accounting teams and managing audits.
• Experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, or manufacturing industries preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
• Strategic leadership and decisionmaking ability.
• Expertise in accounting operations and statutory compliance.
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
• Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems and digital tools.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
CA background preffered
Experience- 10+ years
Salary- upto 20lpa
